IGT-20
The IGT-20 is an ARM-based fanless industrial IoT (Internet of Things) and automation gateway computer. Based on the AM3352 from Texas Instrument’s Sitara AM335x family it is shipped as a development ready system pre-installed with Debian.
IGT-20 industrial grade ARM-based gateway is unlike common System on Module (SoM) based computers. The IGT-20 is based on AM3352 from Texas Instrument’s Sitara AM335x family and is shipped as a ready system pre-installed with Debian. The IGT-20 complies with common industrial CE/FCC, shock and vibration certifications. Another advantage the ARM-based IGT-20 has over SoM is the wide 8 – 25 VDC input voltage range as compared to the typical SoM 5 VDC input voltage specification.
Intelligent agricultural, factory, or other challenging environment installations are no problem with the IGT-20’s extended -25°C ~ 70°C operating temperature. In terms of storage, the IGT-20 has dual microSDHC slots, one internal and one lockable external. This design allows users to maintain separate system and user data locations and can expedite OS deployment for mass production. For example, the internal microSDHC slot card could contain the OS and system files for easy deployment and the added security of a locked slot. The external microSDHC slot card could contain user data and is easily accessible with push-push load/unloading and the added security of a locking mechanism. 8GB MLC microSD timing cached reads have been recorded at > 230 mb/s and timing buffered disk reads are > 20 mb/s . Write speeds have been recorded at >11 mb/s.
The IGT-20 I/O is compatible with a wide range of industrial grade sensors. It features one USB2.0, one 10/100M LAN, two configurable COM ports (RS232/422/485) and an optional CAN bus port (IGT-21 only). In addition, there are 4 built-in isolated DIO channels that accept discrete signals from various sensors or buttons/ switches. There are also four built-in isolated digital output channels to control actuators and indicators. The IGT-20 addresses communication with a mini PCIe slot and a USIM holder allowing it to transmit acquired data and system status via 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi (Mini PCIe Wi-Fi module). The SMA connector of the wireless module can be mounted on the IGT-20’s top opening. As a gateway, users can take advantage of six programmable status LED indicators and two control buttons to operate IGT-20 without a keyboard/ mouse.
